How does the programme work?
Code 2 Learn
The first 6 Saturdays of the program are based on…
Concepts
09:00–11:00
During the first half of the programme, we learn the foundations of machine learning or deep learning.
Coffee Break
11:00–11:30
Exercises
11:30–13:00
We follow a top-down approach to learning through practical exercises. To get started, you'll need some knowledge of Python and data science libraries.
Build 2 Learn
The final Saturdays of the programme focus on…
Teamwork
09:00–11:00
In the second half of the programme, we build prototypes. Using a dataset and a model of your choice, your team explores how AI could address a real problem with social impact.
Coffee Break
11:00–11:30
Mentoring
11:30–13:00
A mentor supports your team throughout the project. At the end, you share an explanatory article, an online demo and a Demo Day presentation.
What does the programme cover?
We receive many questions about the content of the programs. Here you can see a general outline, although what is really important is the organization of the group challenges and projects that you will carry out. The course is in Spanish, but there are teaching resources in English.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Are there different levels?
Yes. There are two levels: machine learning and deep learning. The deep learning track requires prior knowledge of machine learning, and both tracks require intermediate Python skills.
Our mentors will help you choose the ideal program for you during the phase code2learn.
How do I know what my level is?
You can take these tests from Datacamp to see your level of Python and data science. We recommend you start with Machine Learning if you have not yet practiced and experimented with it.
What are we going to do every Saturday?
During the week, you study and practise the material. On Saturdays, we review it, answer questions and work on group challenges to put it into practice.
Can I ask questions during the week?
In the community forums you can ask any questions whenever you need it so that any other student or one of the mentors can help you.
Who are the mentors or teachers?
You will be accompanied by mentors who are passionate about AI, with professional experience, and who are also already part of other cities where Saturdays.AI has arrived
What do the projects consist of?
The final projects will serve to demonstrate what was learned in the course, proposing a solution to a social impact problem (of your choice) with the use of Artificial Intelligence.
Projects are shared as open source, together with an explanatory article, in their state on presentation day. You can continue developing them after the course.
Where can I see projects from other editions?
You can explore our github repository and our page on Medium.
What makes AI Saturdays different from other programs?
The answer to this question lies with the students who have already gone through the program.
The programme combines weekly challenges, contact with mentors and a final project. It helps you connect knowledge with practice and share what you have learned.
Accounts from previous editions highlight learning as a team, practical experience and the broader perspective the programme provides.
Where does the name AI Saturdays come from?
In 2018, a group of friends from different fields wanted to learn AI together and put it into practice. Saturday was the day we could meet. We started with an event in Barcelona, followed by communities in Ecuador, Monterrey, Madrid and elsewhere. That experience shaped our approach to learning as a community.
